Edward Barber reveals engagement to non-showbiz GF

Months after being ordained as a pastor, actor-TV host Edward Barber announced another life milestone — his engagement to his non-showbiz girlfriend Ricki Umali.

Barber revealed this during what appears to be a recent worship service, as seen in a clip shared by TikTok user @olivetreeshoppp on Sunday, Aug. 16.

“From the last time I was here, I am now in an awesome relationship. Hallelujah!” he exclaimed on stage, drawing cheers from the attendees.

“Don’t tell me that God is not real. I used to be the sole single person in this place,” he recalled.

He then pointed at Umali to introduce her to the audience, although the camera did not pan in her direction.

“She’s not just my girlfriend. She’s my fiancée, Ricki,” Barber said. “I proposed to her so she’s now my fiancée.”

Further details about the couple’s engagement as well as Umali’s identity have remained unknown to the public as of this writing.

Barber, who rose to fame after finishing as the fourth big placer of “Pinoy Big Brother: Lucky 7” in 2016, was ordained as a pastor at a church in Manila last January. /ra
