That is according to Mediazona, citing the court's press service, Ukrinform reports.
Hulak was convicted of participating in a terrorist organization. The court said the charges against him were brought over his service in Azov, which Russia has designated as a terrorist organization.
The Rostov court provided no further details about the charges.
Hulak was born in the village of Prymorske, Donetsk region. Before his detention, he lived in the village of Urzuf in the Mariupol district.

Earlier, the Southern District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don sentenced 31-year-old Luhansk region resident Oleksandr Mytiuk to five and a half years in a penal colony on charges of "participation in a terrorist organization."
