Nine Perth joined forces with the Minerva Network on Monday to host an industry event at its CBD studios, exploring how elite sporting performance translates into executive success.

The morning aligned with Nine’s role as the official broadcast home of the Olympic and Paralympic Games through to Brisbane 2032, and connected elite sportswomen with corporate leaders to support career transitions beyond sport. Nine is also the owner of this masthead.

The event began with a behind-the-scenes tour of Nine hosted by 9News Perth weekend sport presenter Alicia Molik and sports presenter Paddy Sweeney, followed by a corporate networking session.

A featured panel brought together Molik, a two-time Grand Slam doubles champion and Olympic Bronze Medallist, as well as Christina Matthews AM, president of the Australian Cricketers Association, former WA Cricket chief executive, and inaugural Minerva WA Chapter Lead; and Caitlin Basset, a World Champion netball legend and corporate leader.

The panel focused on adapting high-performance athletic skills, such as strategic agility, resilience, and pressure management, into effective boardroom leadership.

The morning was also attended by prominent figures including Priya Cooper OAM, Tourism WA chair Di Bain, and Minerva WA Co-Chapter chairs Angie Bain and Suzanna Ardagh AM.
