LUCENA CITY — The number of residents evacuating at Lian town in Batangas, continued to rise Tuesday (August 18) as relentless rains brought by the enhanced southwest monsoon triggered flooding in several areas of the town. “Based on the status of open evacuation centers report of the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) for the southwest monsoon, a total of 96 families, or 318 individuals, are currently staying in the evacuation centers,” the municipal government said in a report on Tuesday afternoon.
