BJP national president Nitin Nabin has asked the cadre to take the party to every village and every polling booth.

“Strengthen the party right from the village level and engage with the people constantly. The lotus must bloom in every panchayat during the local body elections,” he said while addressing the State Executive meeting here on Tuesday.

On his maiden visit to Andhra Pradesh after assuming office, the BJP national president also also held discussions with a cross section of people.

Calling upon the cadres to work for achieving Viksit Bharat by 2047, he said the unprecedented victory the people of Andhra Pradesh gave to the NDA should be leveraged for development and public service.

In the 2024 elections, the NDA had secured 21 out of 25 Lok Sabha seats and 164 out of 175 Assembly seats in Andhra Pradesh, he recalled, adding, “This victory is not merely a cause for pride but also increases the responsibility to uphold the trust people placed in the alliance. The BJP-TDP-JSP combine has heralded a new chapter in the State’s development,” Mr. Nitin Nabin said, and urged party workers to take the development and welfare programmes initiated by the Central and State governments to the people.

He said the party had grown to what it was today by following Syama Prasad Mukherjee’s nationalism, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya’s ‘Antyodaya’ (uplift of the last person), and Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s good governance. “The party’s true strength lies in its workers who serve the people, rather than in holding official positions,” he added.

The BJP national president said the Central government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, did not limit itself to laying foundation stones but ensured projects were completed and inaugurated.

“Projects such as the Bhogapuram international airport, development of Amaravati, the Raipur-Visakhapatnam greenfield expressway, and the AMCA project will contribute to the State’s development,” he said.

Asserting that India’s future was in the hands of its youth, Mr. Nitin Nabin said the Central government was creating an environment to transform young people into job-creating entrepreneurs rather than mere job seekers. He urged the youth to be informed about opportunities in sectors such as startups, Make in India, research, engineering, and medicine. He called upon party workers to maintain constant communication with the new generation through social media.

Delivering the inaugural address, BJP State president P.V.N. Madhav called for efforts to expand the party’s reach to every village in Andhra Pradesh. He stated that the BJP flag should fly in every village through the ‘Mana Ooru – Mana Jenda’ (Our Village – Our Flag) programme.

Mr. Madhav emphasised the need to formulate an action plan to ensure the victory of BJP representatives in the State’s 13,219 village panchayats.
