GCSE results day is almost here, which means students will soon be able to put the stress of exams, revision and waiting for results behind them. Whatever results you achieve, the hard work you’ve put in is definitely reason to celebrate.
Fortunately, you don’t need to spend lots on your results day festivities this Thursday 20 August. Several restaurants and food chains are running special offers for students around GCSE results day, with freebies, discounts and other treats up for grabs. That includes everything from free chicken at Nando’s to discounts at Wagamama, giving you plenty of options if you fancy heading out for something to eat.
However, before you make any plans, it’s worth checking the small print for each deal. Offers can come with different requirements, including showing your results as proof, being a certain age, dining in or redeeming the promotion on a particular day. Some may also require you to mention the offer before placing your order, or prebook in advance.

At Las Iguanas, you can get a free starter and dessert with any main meal purchase. Sign up on the website to receive a unique code, and bring your results with you as proof.
Free pizza for first 30 students at Zizzi
On results day, the first 30 students to arrive at Zizzi will receive a free pizza with the purchase of a soft drink. If you miss out on the first 30, you can still get 50 per cent off pizzas until 5pm.
Free starter and dessert at Bella Italia
The whole family can benefit from this one: Bella Italia is offering a free starter and dessert for every person who buys a main, when one guest shows proof of GCSE exam results. This offer is available on results day only. To claim this deal, sign up online to receive a unique code.
Bella Italia prices vary by location, but starters are usually priced from around £4.99 and desserts from around £5.29, so this is a good deal if you’re looking for a three-course meal.
Free starter and dessert at Banana Tree
At Banana Tree, you can get a free starter and dessert with the purchase of a main meal. Sign up online to receive a unique voucher code, which you’ll need to show with your exam results on arrival.
Free quarter chicken or starter at Nando’s
If you fancy a Nando’s after opening your results, you can get a free quarter chicken or starter when you spend £7 or more. Though not a complete freebie, we know Nando’s is a student favourite. To nab this deal, all you need to do is show your ID and proof of your results (paper or electronic) when you dine in on results day.
Free dessert at Bill’s
At Bill’s, you can get a free dessert on results day when you buy a main meal. Importantly, you’ll need to bring your physical results to redeem this offer. The price of desserts at Bill’s varies across locations, but you’ll usually find them for around £4.50.
Free dirty soda at TGI Fridays
On results day, you can get a complimentary dirty soda for one at participating TGI Fridays restaurants, when you show proof of your 2026 GCSE results. The offer is available while stocks last and is limited to one drink per person collecting their results.
You’ll need to be aged 16 or over, and you may be asked to show proof of age. The offer is for dine-in only and can’t be used with click and collect, delivery or dine-out orders.
Get 25 per cent off at Wagamama
Wagamama is offering students 25 per cent off their food bill when dining in on Thursday, August 20. Students can simply show their physical or digital GCSE results slip to their server to claim the discount.
Get 15 per cent off at Wingstop
Students can get 15 per cent off their bill at Wingstop on results day. To claim the deal, simply visit a Wingstop UK restaurant and show your results, either printed or on your phone. There’s no minimum spend or booking required, so you can just turn up, show your results and enjoy your order for less.
Free chicken tenders at Slim Chickens
Slim Chickens is giving away three free chicken tenders and a dipping sauce on results day. To claim the offer, students need to visit the Slim Chickens results day page to get a promo code and add it to the app, then show their GCSE results in a participating restaurant.
Free entry to The Crystal Maze Experience
This one isn’t a foodie experience, but instead a chance to let loose and celebrate your results. The offer is available at the attraction’s London and Manchester venues, and there are 50 free places available on a first-come, first-served basis. To claim a free ticket, book online using the code CFORCRYSTAL and arrive at the attraction with your GCSE results sheet showing at least one C grade.
Free pad thai at Rosa’s Thai
Students can get a free pad thai at Rosa’s Thai on results day, whatever their grades. To claim it, students need to sign up on the Rosa’s Thai website ahead of the meal to receive a unique code, then visit a participating restaurant with the code and a copy of their results. The free pad thai is available with the purchase of one of Rosa’s Thai’s bubble teas, with more than 100 free pad thais available across participating restaurants in England and Wales.
Free gyoza at itsu
Gyoza lovers can get a free tray of steamed chicken or vegetable gyoza with dipping sauce at itsu on results day. To claim the offer, students simply need to show their 2026 GCSE results, along with proof of their name, at a participating itsu restaurant.
Free iced matcha at Bird & Blend
It’s not just students who can claim a freebie on results day. Bird & Blend Tea Co. is giving away a free iced Superstar Matcha worth £5.25 to both students and teachers on GCSE results day. To claim the drink, students need to show their results and valid student ID at the till, while teachers can present a Teacher Reference Number (TRN) or school staff badge. The offer is available from 11am to 5pm at Bird & Blend stores across the UK (excluding Edinburgh and Glasgow), with one free drink per person.
Bottomless pizza at PizzaExpress
PizzaExpress is offering 90 minutes of unlimited pizza and dough balls for £12.50 per person on GCSE results day. The deal is valid from opening until 5pm on 20 August. To claim the deal, at least one student at the table must show a valid 2026 GCSE results day letter.
