A man has died after he was stabbed at a house south of Brisbane on Tuesday afternoon.

Emergency services rushed to the home on Lubach Street in Beenleigh about 4.45pm, following reports a 66-year-old man had been assaulted and stabbed.

The man was found in a life-threatening condition, according to paramedics, with several stab wounds.

Despite CPR attempts, he could not be saved, and died at the scene.

A man in his 40s was treated for an arm wound and taken to Logan Hospital in a stable condition. A woman, also in her 40s, was not hurt but was also taken to hospital.

They are assisting police with their inquiries.
