His aunt, Tetiana Morozuk, told this to a Ukrinform correspondent.

According to her, Vadym graduated from the Zhytomyr Agricultural Technical College and then enlisted to defend Ukraine. He participated in the ATO/JFO and continued his service during the full-scale war. He served in the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Black Cossacks.

In September 2024, the soldier was taken prisoner in the Donetsk region. His family was notified immediately, but they received no information about his whereabouts. He is the only son in the family.

“Vadym is a very sincere, kind, and obedient young man. He’s always willing to help others and never refuses to assist anyone who asks him for help,” his aunt said.

According to her, Vadym’s mother is currently in the hospital due to serious health issues. She has already been informed of her son’s release from captivity.

As reported by Ukrinform, 103 Ukrainian servicemen were released from Russian captivity on August 19.
