This venue is one of Good Food’s 100 Essential Melbourne Cafes and Bakeries of 2026.
Brilliantly creative, this cafe is treasured by Melburnians who happily cross town for house-made bulgogi sausage breakfast muffins and other items remixing Korea, Japan and Australia. Lunch could be a prawn katsu sando on the go or a rice bowl with hearty sides eaten at the window bench. Friday and Saturday dinners dial things up with shared snacks like steamed dumplings, fried rice cakes and potato pancakes, plus ssam, Korea’s deconstructed lettuce wraps.
Must order: The thick-cut char siu bacon milk bun, with a gooey fried egg and cheese. Herbaceous green chilli and fermented plum mayo adds X-factor.
