As reported by Ukrinform, Koretsky announced this on Facebook.

According to the head of the Ukrainian government, the EU today approved the 21st package of sanctions against Russia. This is an important decision that will limit Russia's ability to finance the war against Ukraine. Koretsky thanked Ireland for its leadership in this process.

"Ireland currently holds the Presidency of the Council of the European Union, and we highly value their contribution to opening Cluster 6, 'External Relations,' in Ukraine's EU accession negotiations. We count on Ireland's Presidency to help complete the opening of all remaining clusters and move swiftly toward the substantive stage of our accession process," the Prime Minister noted.

The interlocutors placed special focus on Ukraine's preparations for winter and the restoration of damaged energy infrastructure.

The heads of government also discussed attracting Irish companies to Ukraine's reconstruction and the further development of business cooperation between the two countries, which continues despite Russian aggression.

"We deeply appreciate Ireland's unwavering solidarity, all the assistance it has provided, and its steadfast support for Ukraine's European future. Thank you to Prime Minister Micheál Martin, the Government of Ireland, and the people of Ireland for standing with Ukraine," Koretsky concluded.

As Ukrinform reported, on July 23 the Council of the EU adopted the 21st package of restrictive measures against Russia in response to its military aggression against Ukraine.
