European Commission spokesperson Anitta Hipper made this statement during a briefing, according to Ukrinform.
She said that, as for the elections, Ukraine had to decide when they would take place in full compliance with its legal framework. She added that the EU was ready to support Ukraine during the electoral process, particularly in adhering to relevant democratic standards and requirements.
According to Hipper, the European Union does not assess the conditions for holding elections in individual countries.

The spokesperson added that there was a constitutional framework and that the decision had to be made by Ukraine if it decided to proceed.
As reported by Ukrinform, former Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov recently recorded an address to Ukrainians in which he highlighted the need to find a lawful and secure mechanism for holding elections during wartime.
