While the big Avatar story at the moment is Avatar Aang: The Last Airbenderâwhich will be hitting a select few theaters before arriving on Paramount+ July 25âthere’s another project in the franchise about to make its presence felt. During Avatar Aang‘s Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con, fans got a couple of big updates for the streaming series Avatar: Seven Havens.

The first update: a premiere date. Avatar: Seven Havens arrives October 9 on Paramount+ with a full series release.

Then, a first teaser, which will surely give Korra fans plenty to talk about:

The show’s official logline is as follows: “Avatar: Seven Havens is a new original series from creators Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko. Set in the world of Avatar: The Last Airbender, the original 26-episode, 2D-animated series centers around a young Earthbender who discovers sheâs the new Avatar after Korra in a world shattered by a devastating cataclysm.”

“In this dangerous era, that title marks her as humanity’s destroyer, not its savior. Hunted by both human and spirit enemies, she and her long-lost twin must uncover their mysterious origins and save the Seven Havens before civilizationâs last strongholds collapse.”

The cast includes Saheli Khan as Pavi, Aishu Devan as Nisha, Akshay Khanna as Karthik, Major Curda as Jae, Sakina Jaffrey as Agam, Darren Barnet as Daemin, Dianne Doan as Zi, and Dee Bradley Baker as Geet and Ruhi.

Avatar: Seven Havens premieres October 9 on Paramount+.
