Part supermarket, part budget-friendly emporium, Aldi has become the go-to store for everything from treadmills to beauty tools and more, thanks to its range of ever-changing Specialbuys that grace the middle aisle.
When it comes to nabbing home appliances at bargain prices, Aldi has you covered. One of the latest launches to catch our eye is a cordless vacuum cleaner that you can snap up for less than £40.
While premium cordless vacuums can set you back anything from a couple of hundred pounds to more than £1,000, the Ambiano (Aldi’s own-brand) cyclonic stick vacuum cleaner costs less than £40 – that’s even cheaper than our favourite tried-and-tested budget cordless vacuum cleaner.
Said to be lightweight, powerful and easy to manoeuvre, the cyclonic boasts a motorised brush with three LED lights, a 180-degree swivel head and about 32 minutes of runtime on a five-hour charge.

When can you buy Aldi’s cyclonic stick vacuum cleaner?
Aldi’s budget-friendly cordless vacuum is available in stores now. When it comes to the supermarket’s Specialbuys, stock tends to be limited and once it’s gone, it’s gone.
How much is Aldi’s cyclonic stick vacuum cleaner?
Compared with cordless vacuums from leading brands such as Dyson, Shark and Henry, Aldi’s cyclonic model costs just £39.99. It may not boast some of the premium features found on more-expensive options, but if you’re looking for a purse-friendly design for quick clean-ups, this could be an ideal choice.
Best cordless vacuum cleaners
If you miss out on Aldi’s cyclonic stick vacuum cleaner or you want something with a few more fancy features, our expert home appliances reviewer has put a range of cordless vacuums to the test. Here are a couple of her top picks.
“The quick pro was the best cordless vacuum in our tests, as it’s ideal for daily use,” said reviewer Joanne Lewsley. It boasts a 60-minute runtime and LED lights for spotting crumbs under furniture. Joanne was impressed with the suction power, describing it as “excellent on hard floors and carpets”. She added that the “swivel steering made it surprisingly nimble”, too.

If you don’t manage to get your hands on Aldi’s cordless vacuum, appliances reviewer Joanne Lewsley rates this model from Akitas, which is currently available for just £10 more than Aldi’s cyclonic design. “It proved itself to be a handy, budget-friendly option that’s well-suited to everyday vacuuming on hard floors,” said Joanne, after putting it to the test in her own home. While Joanne added that the suction power isn’t especially powerful, compared with premium models, she described it as “a no-frills cleaner that gets the job done on a budget”.
