ASTANA, August 21. /TASS/. Kazakhstan’s company Kazatomprom has announced reaching agreements to sell natural uranium to Russia and China.
An agreement on uranium supply has been reached with the Russian company Uranium One Group, part of the Rosatom management structure, according to a statement on the company’s website. Uranium will be supplied to the Siberian Chemical Combine, with the draft contract having already been agreed upon by the parties.
In the case of China, Kazatomprom has agreed on a deal with State Nuclear Uranium Resource Development Company Limited (SNURDC). Deliveries will be made to the Alashankou railway station in China.
Kazatomprom is not disclosing details regarding the cost, volume, and delivery schedules for either transaction, citing confidentiality and commercial secrecy. The company has already submitted the uranium sales deals with Russia and China to its shareholders for approval.
