Keralam Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar on Friday (August 21, 2026) summoned Saju George, Secretary of the Kerala Public Service Commission, in connection with the alleged irregularities in the conduct of examinations.

The meeting lasted about 15 minutes on Friday (August 21) evening, sources said. The Government sought general information on the present controversy and the progress of the investigation, it is understood.

The PSC is battling a controversy over alleged anomalies in evaluation. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Crime Branch is probing the alleged malpractices.

Recently, the Governor’s decision to summon State Police Chief Ravada Chandrasekhar in connection with the allegations raised by Ciza Thomas, Vice-Chancellor, Sree Sankaracharya University of Saskrit, had sparked a controversy.

Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan said the government had registered its strong protest to the Lok Bhavan over the incident. Leader of Opposition Pinarayi Vijayan had demanded a clarification from the State government as to whether the Lok havan had summoned the officer without the knowledge of the Chief Minister or the Home Minister.
