One critically injured after Tauranga crash

One person is critically injured after a single-vehicle crash in Mount Maunganui, Tauranga, on Saturday afternoon.

The crash happened at the intersection of SH29A and SH2 at about 3.50pm.

The intersection is closed while emergency services respond.

Police advised motorists to avoid the area and expect delays.
