Devotees visiting the Vanabadrakaliamman Temple at Thekkampatti in Mettupalayam taluk will not be allowed to carry mobile phones onto the temple premises from September 1, 2026, in accordance with the Tamil Nadu government’s guidelines.

The temple administration is setting up two mobile phone deposit centres on the premises for the convenience of devotees. Visitors have been requested to deposit their phones at these centres before proceeding for darshan.

A fee of ₹5 will be charged for the safekeeping of each mobile phone.

The temple administration has appealed to devotees to cooperate with the new arrangement and deposit their phones at the designated centres before entering the temple.
