MOSCOW, August 22. /TASS/. Russian troops delivered attacks on a military airfield as well as fuel, energy and transport infrastructure, supplying the Ukrainian army, over the past 24 hours, Russia's Defense Ministry reported.

"Operational/tactical aircraft, attack unmanned aerial vehicles, missile troops and artillery of the Russian battlegroups struck a military airfield, fuel and energy and transport infrastructure facilities, used by the Ukrainian army, storage sites for unmanned aerial vehicles and their components, and also temporary deployment areas of Ukrainian armed formations and foreign mercenaries in 146 locations," the ministry specified.

Russian air defenses downed 11 glide bombs and 1,053 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones over the past day, Russia’s top brass said in a daily report on Saturday. "Air defenses downed 11 glide bomb and 1,053 fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles," the report reads.

The Ukrainian army lost some 1,370 troops as a result of actions by Russian battlegroups in the zone of the special military operation during the past day, Russia’s top brass reported on Saturday.

According to Russia’s top brass, the enemy lost more than 200 troops in the responsibility area of the Battlegroup North, over 220 personnel from actions by the Battlegroup West, and more than 250 troops from actions by the Battlegroup South. The Battlegroup Center inflicted over 360 casualties on Ukrainian troops, more 310 enemy troops were lost in the responsibility area of the Battlegroup East, and roughly 30 Ukrainian servicemen were lost from actions by the Battlegroup Dnepr.
