Here's what CNBC TV's producers were watching as the Dow Industrials tumbled more than 500 points, and what's on the radar for the next session. Big earnings on 'Squawk Box' Friday morning: Get the numbers and instant market reaction American Express is up 7% in three months. The stock is down 12% from the December high. Verizon is down 7% over three months. The stock is off 15% from the March high. It pays a quarterly dividend of about 71 cents a share, which gives Verizon a current dividend yield of 6.46%. HCA Healthcare is down 20% in three months. The stock is down 32% from the March high. HCA 3M mountain HCA Healthcare in the past three months Oil Brent crude futures are up 14% week to date. It climbed above $100 a barrel on Thursday. West Texas Intermediate crude futures are up more than 11% so far this week. It went above $90 a barrel on Thursday. The current price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline across the U.S. is now $4.09, according to AAA . Gasoline futures are up almost 18% in a month. Our coverage of the energy market picks up with " Morning Call " at 5 a.m. ET with Morgan Brennan and continues throughout the day. Energy stocks The S & P Energy sector is the top performing sector of the week, up 3.5%. EQT is up 7.7% so far this week. It is down 22% from the March high. ExxonMobil is up 6.5% this week. Shares are off 11% from the March high. Diamondback Energy is up 5% in a week. It's down 4% from the May high. Occidental Petroleum is up 5% week to date. The stock is off 14% from the March high ConocoPhillips is up 4.8% this week. Shares are down 11.5% from the March 30 high. Chevron is up 3.8% this week. It's off 9.5% from the March 30 high. S & P Utilities is the second top sector this week, up 2.3% in the period. EQT 5D mountain EQT shares in the past five trading days The Great American consumer stocks As energy prices go higher, sometimes the retail economy stocks go lower. The State Street PDR S & P Retail ETF (XRT) is down 3.4% so far this week. It is down 6% from the January high. The S & P Airline industry is down 2.7% so far this week. It's down 13.5% from the June high. Target is down 3.7% in four days. It is off 7% from last week's high. Walmart is down 5.1% in four days. It is down 20% from the May high. Bath & Body Works is down 7.3% so far in four days. Shares are down 41% from the high hit a year ago. Dick's Sporting Goods is down 6% so far this week. The stock is down 16% from the June 22 high. Abercrombie & Fitch , a big mall staple, is down 4.6% so far this week. It's down 32% from the January high. Tariffs In a Thursday night article from CNBC's Kevin Breuninger and Ashlee Trujillo, the Trump administration will enact new tariffs on 60 American trade partners covering 99% of trade. While the 10% to 12.5% tariffs will "effectively replace President Donald Trump's temporary 10% global tariffs," these may have more of a long-term and steady impact. The iShares MSCI Mexico ETF (EWW) is down 8% from the February high. The iShares MSCI Canada ETF (EWC) hit a new high on Wednesday. It is up 2% in July.
