SEOUL, August 22. /TASS/. A container ship of South Korea’s Panstar company has set sail for Europe from the South Korean port of Busan via the Northern Sea Route, the Yonhap news agency reported.

The ship left the port at noon GMT. It will be the first journey via the Arctic route for a Korean commercial vessel. The entire mission is expected to take 45 days.

The Northern Sea route will make South Korean deliveries to Europe approximately 7,000 kilometers and ten days shorter, compared to the traditional Suez Canal route.
