On the second day of competition, Ukrainian judoka Kseniia Kyrylchuk won the silver medal, finishing second in the under-52 kg weight category, Ukrinform reports.
On her way to the podium, Kyrylchuk defeated opponents from Panama, Poland, Ecuador and Japan before losing to Kazakhstan’s Fatima Supygaliyeva in the final. Supygaliyeva won the gold medal.
On the final day of the World Championships, Ukrainians Nikita Sakharov (under 81 kg), Diana Samoiliuk (under 70 kg), Yana Dovhun and Yana Kholiavko (both over 70 kg) will compete.

As reported, Vitalii Lykhohliad (under 55 kg) and Sofiia Palamarenko (under 40 kg) finished fifth after losing their bronze-medal bouts. Khazar Heydarov (under 60 kg) finished seventh.
The 2026 Cadet World Championships will run through August 23.
The senior World Judo Championships will be held in Baku, Azerbaijan, on October 4–10, while the Junior World Championships will take place in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, on November 19–23.
