A man was seriously injured on Thursday after a fire sparked a series of explosions at a boat and marine materials manufacturing workshop in Chania on the Greek island of Crete, according to Greece's public broadcaster ERT.

The fire broke out in a storage area of the workshop in the Livadia district of Chania on Thursday afternoon.
