Motorcycle rider, wife attacked in Bataan town

ORION, Bataan — A man piloting a motorcycle, with his wife riding with him, was shot by a gunman driving a car on Friday morning (July 24) in front of a convenience store.

Police said the victim, identified only as “Michael,” a resident of barangay Calungusan in this Bataan town, was bringing his wife to school when the unidentified assailant riddled him with bullets.

Police said the victim died on the spot from four gunshot wounds in different parts of his body. The wife was spared by the attacker, who is now the subject of a manhunt. Orion police said the fugitive “was likely a hired gunman.” /das
