Ade Adepitan is reportedly in 'advanced talks' to join the new series of I'm A Celebrity.

The Paralympian, 53, would be the first wheelchair user in the show's 23 years history.

ITV bosses are said to be keen to have Ade join the show and would adapt the camp to make living there accessible for him.

'Ade has been in talks with I'm A Celebrity, who are really keen to make it work', a source told The Sun.

'Producers are currently looking at ways to adapt the camp to make it work for Ade.

'They think his infectious larger-than-life personality would make him a perfect campmate for the new series.'

The Daily Mail has been to Ade's representative for comment. An ITV spokesperson told the Daily Mail: 'Any names suggested for I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here are just speculation'.

Ade lost the use of his left leg after contracting polio when he was a baby.

He shot to fame as a star of the Team GB wheelchair basketball team and won a bronze medal at the 2004 Paralympics in Athens, Greece before embracing a new career in TV.

Other stars rumoured to be taking part in the new series include Gavin and Stacey's Joanna Page and Olympic ice dancer Sir Christopher Dean, 67, after he and his ex-skating partner Dame Jayne Torvill, 68, bowed out as head judges and choreographers on ITV's Dancing on Ice, which was axed in March 2025.

I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! is set to return later in 2026, but its spin-off, I'm A Celebrity...South Africa, is unlikely to return to TV for another three years.

It comes after winner, Waterloo Road alum Adam Thomas, 37, and ex-footballer Jimmy Bullard, 47, had an almighty bust-up on the show, after the latter accused the actor of being 'abusive, aggressive and intimidating' after flying into a rage when the former Wigan Athletic midfielder quit a trial.

However, another iteration of I'm A Celebrity, titled I'm A Celebrity: The Wild Frontier, is set to be coming next year, and it will see stars paired together to tackle trials and survive in Canada's wilderness.

It has been reported that Boyzlife pop stars Keith Duffy, 51, and Brian McFadden, 46, have signed up.

A source told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: 'Bosses are delighted that Keith and Brian will be taking part, they'll each bring a lot of fun and mischief to the camp.

'Everyone's really excited about this new format, the pairs element will get everyone talking. 'The casting team are hopeful they can cast celebrity duos, but may also include some stars and their non-famous family members or partners.

'Viewers will see the pairings undertake gruelling trials in the beautiful and unknown Canadian landscape and take on action-packed challenges to win food, all aiming to become the sole victorious pair.'
