Three new ships are set to join the Uniworld river cruise fleet.

Launching in 2028, the luxury river cruise line will introduce SS Helen on the Danube, SS Clara on the Rhine and the Mekong Mystique on the Mekong.

Named after Helen of Troy, the decor on the 154-capacity SS Helen will be inspired by Mediterranean and Greek culture.

Itineraries will include a 15-day “Danube Grandeur” sailing from Belgrade to Nuremberg that visits grand European capitals including Budapest, Belgrade and Vienna.

SS Clara will have the same capacity on the Rhine and will honour the 17th-century Flemish painter, Clara Peeters, one of the Dutch Golden Age's most celebrated female artists.

She will debut on the eight-day “Holland & Belgium at Tulip Time” itinerary, a seasonal favourite that takes in springtime in the Netherlands and Belgium, visiting vibrant flower fields, charming canals and historic cities.

Uniworld’s presence in Asia will also be expanded with the launch of Mekong Mystique. The 68-passenger vessel will join Mekong Jewel in the region. Uniworld said the ship will have European architectural details and interiors that reflect the heritage and landscapes of Vietnam and Cambodia.

Booking are open now for sailings in 2028.

The vessels will take the total fleet size to 22 and are part of Uniworld’s new range of boutique “super ships”.

The first four are launching in 2027 and include SS Audrey and SS Marlene, inspired by Hollywood icons Audrey Hepburn and Marlene Dietrich.
