Reduced by £14, the Skin Rocks retinoid was beauty editor Lucy Partington’s favourite entry-level formula in her guide to the best retinol creams and serums. It uses 0.2 per cent hydroxypinacolone and, after testing, Lucy wrote, “I love how this made my skin feel, and the fact that it’s also refillable is another bonus.”
A good gel cleanser can leave skin feeling fresh and purified without tightness – and that’s the case with Skin Rocks’s gel offering, thanks to its six-oil blend. In her round-up of the best cleansers, beauty aficionado Ella Duggan wrote, “It consists of a gel that becomes extremely loose and milky once rubbed onto the skin. It feels almost like you're not applying a product at all, and yet the results speak for themselves. Once wiped with a hot cloth, make-up was removed in a blink of an eye.”
If you’re not overly familiar with Skin Rocks, founder Caroline Hirons is famed for her ‘kits’, so this quad of products is an excellent way to get to know the brand. Plus, when beauty expert Louise Whitbread reviewed the best vitamin C serums, she described Skin Rocks’s antioxidant formula as the best for all skin types. Speaking to her experience with the serum, she reported, “I saw a subtle improvement in radiance, particularly on my cheeks, with fewer dark spots visible.”
The Skin Rocks eye cream is arguably – alongside the retinoids – the brand’s most popular product, so it was no surprise that skincare addict Rose Gallagher dubbed it her favourite formula in her round-up of the best eye creams. She found that “The texture of the cream has enough slip to massage the delicate eye area with no pulling or tugging.” What more could you want, especially with almost £15 off.
Another product that earned our IndyBest buy award, the Skin Rocks support oil was beauty editor Lucy Partington’s top pick in her guide to the best face oils. She loved the barrier-friendly ingredients roster and described how she “noticed reduced tightness and improved resilience over time, with a soft glow that looked natural rather than glossy.”
