In November 2025, Fortnite and The Simpsons joined forces to create what would become one of the most popular collabs in the game's history. Recently, Epic Games teased the return of The Simpsons to Fortnite in the Reload game mode.

The Fortnite timeline consists of several Chapters and Seasons. While it was handled differently early on, it is quite consistent nowadays; Chapters last 11 months, and are separated into four seasons. Between each Chapter, there is a four-week break where gamers get to play a themed mini-season. In 2025, the mini-season consisted of a collaboration with The Simpsons.

The Simpsons mini-season featured a map of Springfield, a Battle Pass with several characters from the show, and tons of cosmetic items that were made available through the Shop or themed quests. The Simpsons is a franchise that is loved by many, so it undoubtedly attracted fans to give Fortnite a try simply so they could play as their favorite characters and explore the town. It isn't The Simpsons: Hit & Run, but it's a good way to scratch the itch for a Simpsons game. On the other hand, Fortnite players got a fresh breath of air between Chapters in the cel-shaded map, as they played through the mini-season.

Whether players were Simpsons or Fortnite fans, this mini-season was a hit among the two communities. Therefore, players will be happy to know that they can return to Springfield soon. On Wednesday, Jul. 29, Fortnite will do a full reveal of the next Simpsons collab, which, as the teaser indicates, will take place in Reload. So, even though there aren't many details about the collab yet, players will be happy to know that they can expect to see their favorite landmarks on the map soon.

Reload is a modified Battle Royale game mode with smaller maps and fewer players. However, respawn is enabled during a major part of the match, so players can push opponents and take advantage of their weapons and items without the fear of being immediately eliminated. It is a fun, fast-paced experience, which allows Epic Games to bring back vaulted maps and weapons.

It is likely that once the Springfield Reload map launches, new Simpsons content will be made available in Fortnite. However, players will have to wait until next Wednesday to learn more about what's coming.
