It’s been a long, long 15 years for Green Lantern fans. One of DC’s most exciting and malleable heroes was last seen on the big screen in the 2011 Ryan Reynolds movie that was so bad, it basically killed the character entirely. Since then, while so many other heroes have had their adventures adapted in incredible ways, Hal Jordan, John Stewart, Sinestro, and so many others sat dormant. Waiting.

The wait is over.

This new DC Universe gave us one Green Lantern immediately, and now the full Lanterns show is premiering on August 16. We’ve already seen a few trailers, but the cast and crew dropped into San Diego Comic-Con to debut the best trailer yet. And now you can watch it. Check it out.

The panel included Kyle Chandler, who plays Hal Jordan, Aaron Pierre, who plays John Stewart, Garret Dillahunt, Poorna Jagannathan, and the show’s co-creators Chris Mundy, Damon Lindelof, and Tom King.

Lanterns debuts on HBO Max August 16.
