The European Union has said it is "deeply concerned" by the latest escalation of violence in the occupied West Bank, calling on all sides to avoid inflammatory rhetoric and work to reduce tensions.
In a statement, the bloc offered its "deepest condolences" to the families of those killed, saying the recent violence underscored "the fragility of the situation on the ground".
The remarks come after a fresh wave of Israeli military raids and settler attacks across multiple areas of the occupied West Bank overnight, in which two Palestinians were injured and dozens of others were detained.
