A Palestinian woman from the town of Qaryut, south of Nablus, lost her unborn child after Israeli forces prevented an ambulance from crossing the Awarta military checkpoint, Wafa reported.
The Qaryut ambulance officer Bashar al-Qaryuti told the news agency that Israeli forces hindered the work of medical teams and refused to allow them to pass through the gates.
He added that a medical crew member was detained, while the pregnant woman - who was in her sixth month - was subjected to a search despite her severe bleeding and critical condition.
The soldiers also forced the crew to switch off the ambulance's engine, leaving the medical support equipment in the vehicle to stop functioning
