The Trivandrum Orthopaedic Society (TOS), in association with the Kerala Orthopaedic Association (KOA) and the Indian Orthopaedic Association (IOA), organised a Bone & Joint Health Walkathon on Sunday, as part of the National Bone and Joint Day 2026 observance. The walkathon, held from Kowdiar Junction to the Museum grounds, was flagged off by the Health Minister, K. Muraleedharan.

As part of the National Bone and Joint Day campaign, TOS conducted a series of public awareness initiatives, including a Basic Life Support (BLS) training programme for around 400 SAP Commandos at the SAP Police Camp, Peroorkada; school-based spine screening surveys to facilitate the early detection of spinal deformities; a public awareness talk on osteoporosis and an educational session on low back pain, focusing on prevention and early management.
