SAVE 18%: As of July 27, you can get the 27-inch Asus ROG Strix gaming monitor for $529 at Amazon, down from $649. That's an 18% discount or $120 savings.
If you're looking to upgrade your gaming setup, Amazon has a few monitors on sale right now, including the 27-inch Asus ROG Strix gaming monitor (specifically model XG27AQWMG) for $529. That's an 18% discount and the lowest we've seen this monitor go for to date.
It features a 26.5-inch QHD (2560x1440) TrueBlack Glossy WOLED display with a 280Hz refresh rate and a 0.03ms response time. It also uses Tandem OLED technology, which Asus claims delivers 15 percent higher peak brightness, a 25 percent larger color volume, and a 60 percent longer lifespan compared to previous-generation WOLED panels.
If you're worried about OLED burn-in, Asus built in a Neo Proximity Sensor that automatically detects when you step away from your desk and switches to a black screen to protect the panel.
That said, some reviewers have noted that the screen looks dirty out of the box (visible vertical and horizontal grey bands). Running a few pixel-cleaning cycles, or just letting the monitor "warm up" with HDR content for a few hours, should fix the issues and give you a display that one reviewer called "the most beautiful display I have ever seen in person."
