According to Ukrinform, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin stated this on Telegram.

"Twelve UAVs heading toward Moscow were shot down by the Ministry of Defense's air defense systems. Emergency service specialists are working at the sites where debris fell," the post said.

He later reported that another 21 drones had also been intercepted.

At the same time, Russia's Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya) announced temporary restrictions and the suspension of operations at Moscow's Vnukovo, Domodedovo, and Zhukovsky airports.

Videos and photos circulating on social media reportedly showed drones flying over the Moscow region and smoke rising from several locations.

According to social media reports, one of the possible targets was a tire recycling and rubber processing plant in the town of Chekhov, near Moscow.

Another reported target was a Wildberries warehouse in the village of Koledino.

Earlier, Ukrinform reported that an electrical substation caught fire in the temporarily occupied city of Feodosia after a reported strike, leaving much of the city without power.
