Shannon Airport is preparing for a busy August Bank Holiday, with more than 65,000 passengers expected to travel through the airport over the period.

The airport had 1.17 million passengers during the first six months of 2026, a 12 per cent increase on the same period in 2025.

Growth has been supported by the airport's expanded schedule.

This year includes 40 routes, with increased European and transatlantic capacity.

New services to destinations including Rome, Madrid, Warsaw, Poznan and Frankfurt, along with additional frequencies on key routes.

Passengers travelling this August Bank Holiday are encouraged to plan ahead and arrive in good time for their flights.
