According to Ukrinform, Zelensky shared the remarks on Facebook.

"I paid my respects to the late Senator Lindsey Graham at a special memorial service in Washington D.C. It was only recently that we saw each other, and it is deeply symbolic that Senator Graham’s last trip abroad was to Kyiv. We talked about important things – continued support for Ukraine and increasing pressure on Russia.

We can see those efforts becoming reality now. And I believe that is the best way to honor his memory: to accomplish what he fought for, particularly when it comes to Ukraine," Zelensky said.

The Ukrainian President stressed that the United States has all the necessary tools to prevent Russia from dragging this war out.

"President Trump has all the necessary tools. It would only be right to work together this way. Thank you to everyone in the United States Congress and Senate for your support. And thank you, Senator Graham. I am truly grateful that Ukraine has friends like you," Zelensky said.

As reported by Ukrinform, the U.S. Senate on Tuesday evening approved a procedural motion required to advance bipartisan legislation imposing sanctions on Russia and Iran, passing it by a vote of 86 to 12.

Before the vote, President Zelensky, who was visiting the U.S. Capitol, met with Senators and urged them to support the bill introduced by the late Republican Senator Lindsey Graham. He then attended the Senate session during the vote.

The legislation would authorize U.S. President Donald Trump to impose tariffs on the five largest purchasers of Russian oil and natural gas.
