Relive Kavinsky’s iconic performance at 2024 Paris Olympics after French DJ found dead aged 50

French DJ Kavinsky, real name Vincent Belorge, has been found dead at his home in Paris at the age of 50.

Belorge, a leading figure in French house music, was found dead on Tuesday (28 July), just three days away from his 51st birthday. An inquiry into the cause of death has been opened, with prosectors saying “no suspicious elements” were found at the scene.

Kavinsky became a viral hit when his song “Nightcall” was featured in 2011’s Drive, starring Ryan Gosling.

In 2024, he performed the song to a global audience at the Paris Olympics closing ceremony, accompanied by Belgian singer Angèle on lead vocals, as well as French band Phoenix.
