MOSCOW, July 29. /TASS/. Telegram still has a chance to operate legally in Russia, despite the charges brought against its co-founder Pavel Durov, provided it fulfills the necessary conditions, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy Andrey Svintsov told TASS.

Earlier, the FSB reported that Durov had been charged in Russia with aiding terrorist activities.

"The matter concerns the recognition of Pavel Durov himself as an accomplice to terrorism, but not the company itself. Therefore, I believe the company still has every opportunity for legal operation in Russia," the deputy said.

According to him, for this, the company needs to open a representative office, process and store personal data in Russia, and also cooperate with special services in the field of countering terrorist threats and any other illegal activities.

"These are absolutely normal requirements that exist all over the world," the parliamentarian continued. "The same applies to the company Roblox, to which Roskomnadzor issued an order; they eliminated everything and are operating legally. So there are plenty of examples of proper operation.".
