MOSCOW, July 29. /TASS/. By taking control of the settlement of Novaya Sech in the Sumy region, Russia expands the security buffer zone along the Russian border, the Russian Defense Ministry has reported.

Servicemen of Battlegroup North, during the execution of combat tasks of the special military operation as a result of active operations, established control over the settlement of Novaya Sech in the Sumy region.

"The village of Novaya Sech and its surroundings were used by Ukrainian nationalists as a unified stronghold.
