Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said this in an interview with Axios, according to Ukrinform.

Zelensky stated that one of the outcomes of his meeting with Trump is the expected visit of Kushner and Witkoff to Kyiv within the next two weeks. The trip would mark their first visit to Ukraine after making several visits to Russia.

The Ukrainian president emphasized that he wants to discuss with them in detail proposals for reviving peace negotiations aimed at ending the war, as well as give them an opportunity to see the situation in Ukraine firsthand.

Zelensky noted that Kushner and Witkoff still seek to achieve a ceasefire in order to create space for diplomacy.

At the same time, he said he does not believe that Russian President Vladimir Putin will agree to suspend hostilities.

Despite the current dynamics on the battlefield and his skepticism about Putin's intentions, Zelensky stressed that he remains interested in resuming peace negotiations with Russia.

The Ukrainian president also expressed the view that Putin is moving toward further escalation and may even attempt to provoke other countries in the region in order to secure "a more simple victory to sell to his audience."

As Ukrinform reported, last week President Volodymyr Zelensky held talks with Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, representatives of U.S. President Donald Trump, during which the sides discussed ways to intensify diplomatic efforts to bring peace closer.
