BUCHAREST, July 29. /TASS/. The Romanian company OVES Enterprise, in coordination with Ukraine, will launch a facility for the production of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the city of Cluj-Napoca in the autumn, the Adevarul newspaper has reported.
According to its information, three types of drones will be produced at the facility - FPV, interceptor and reconnaissance drones. The initial production volume will be about 1,000 drones per month, with subsequent expansion to 10,000-15,000 units, and the production range could include up to 27 different types.
In March, Romanian President Nicusor Dan and Vladimir Zelensky signed a strategic partnership declaration between Romania and Ukraine in Bucharest, as well as documents on the joint production of defense materials and on cooperation in the energy sector. One of these documents concerns the joint production of drones in Romania.
