Lindsay Clancy sobbed in court on Wednesday while jurors listened to the roughly seven-minute 911 call her husband made after returning to an “unusually quiet” home to find she had strangled their three children.

She had asked Patrick Clancy to make a quick trip for takeout food and medication from a pharmacy, which prosecutors allege was an excuse to get him out of the house.

Jurors watched surveillance footage from CVS when Patrick Clancy called his wife with a question about which medication to pick up.

“She was pretty quiet. It sounded like she was busy,” he testified Wednesday. “I remember hanging up thinking she was probably in the middle of giving baths or something like that.”

When Patrick Clancy returned home, the house was unusually quiet, he testified.

After calling out to his family, he began looking in the kids’ bedrooms and bathroom when he found blood throughout the main bedroom and a window open.

Patrick Clancy found his then-wife badly injured on the lawn, bleeding in their yard.

“Look at me,” he can be heard saying to her in the audio, “Say my name.”

A model of the home was shown in court for prosecutors to explain the layout and point out where everything happened.

Badly injured but conscious, she told him that the kids were in the basement, without saying they were dead, he testified.

Patrick Clancy told the dispatcher he was going into the house to find the kids.

Moments later, in between sobs and screams, a confused dispatcher is repeatedly asking what happened before he yells, “Oh my god ... she killed the kids!"

He testified he didn’t remember still being on the phone with 911 as he ran downstairs to find each had been strangled with exercise bands.

Three years after the horrible deaths, the murder trial largely centers on Lindsay Clancy’s mental state at the time.

Prosecutors allege 34-year-old Lindsay Clancy acted intentionally and needs to be held criminally responsible for strangling her daughter Cora, 5, son Dawson, 3, and 8-month-old Callan after sending her husband out on errands.

Her lawyers are working to prove she had post-pregnancy psychosis, a rare mental illness linked to the stress, sleep deprivation and hormonal changes that follow childbirth.

Her lawyer said in opening arguments Monday that she had bipolar disorder, and that antidepressants prescribed after the birth of her third child worsened her condition. On the day of the killings, Lindsay Clancy said she heard a voice telling her, “This is your last chance. Kill the children so you can kill yourself,” according to her lawyer.

If convicted of murder, she faces life in prison without parole. If found not guilty due to a lack of criminal responsibility, she would be committed to a state mental health facility.

Patrick Clancy has said in interviews that he forgives his ex-wife, whom he viewed as ill rather than evil.
