Netanyahu denies persuading Trump on Iran war: ‘It’s his decision’

Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he is not influencing US president Donald Trump’s actions in the Iran war.

Speaking to ABC News exclusively on Wednesday (29 July) after a meeting with Trump, Netanyahu said the president has three options: securing a deal, maintaining pressure through a blockade, or taking military action.

He denied reports that he had urged Trump to resume strikes, saying “it's his decision”. He asserted that they openly discussed all three possibilities.

Netanyahu said both leaders share the goal of preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, describing it as their common objective.
