Donna Mills is the latest celebrity to jump on the OnlyFans bandwagon.
The 85-year-old actor became one of the biggest stars in the soap opera world during the 1980s thanks to her starring role on the CBS primetime show Knots Landing. She is also known for her regular role on General Hospital and appearances in movies including the 2022 Jordan Peele horror Nope.
In a statement to Variety, Mills said: “I’ve always appreciated the incredible support and encouragement I’ve received from my fans over the years. Social media has been a wonderful way to stay connected, but I’m excited to join OnlyFans because it offers the opportunity for a more personal and direct connection.”
OnlyFans is a subscription site known for allowing creators to post pornographic content.
The actor added that she plans to share “moments from my daily life” and “behind-the-scenes glimpses” on the site, adding: “It’s simply another platform to spend quality time with the people who’ve supported me throughout my career while staying true to who I am.”
On her profile page, Mills describes herself as an actress who is “still full of surprises.”
She writes: “Here you’ll find my moments that don’t make it on screen. Personal, more candid, and completely unscripted.”
Mills has been acting on television since 1966, when she first landed a role on the CBS soap opera The Secret Storm.
Along with her lengthy film and television career, Mills also claimed in 2022 that she was the original inspiration for the character of Sandy in the hit musical Grease.
In a video posted to Instagram, Mills appeared dressed as Sandy and recalled her school days with Grease creator Jim Jacobs.
“Did you know I went to school with Jim Jacobs?” she asked. “Jim Jacobs who wrote Grease? Jim Jacobs who used me as his model for Sandy? I didn’t know it at the time but I found out years later – I was the original Sandy.”
Mills is among many Hollywood actors who have turned to OnlyFans in recent months. In May, My Name Is Earl star Jaime Pressly said she had made an account on the adult content site to “connect directly with” her audience.
“I’ve always believed in evolving with the times,” she said at the time.“This is another way for me to connect directly with my audience, on my own terms, with creativity and intention. I’ve loved meeting fans at various Comic Cons, and the excitement of having those real face to face moments made me want to seek options like OnlyFans.”
