The World Cup may be over, but listeners around the world are not finished with Shakira’s official song for the tournament. “Dai Dai” – officially titled “Dai Dai (FIFA World Cup Official Song 2026)” – her collaboration with Burna Boy, was selected as the event’s anthem and pushed as the big single from the FIFA World Cup 2026 soundtrack.
For the past several weeks, “Dai Dai” has been rising dramatically on the Billboard charts. This frame, the collaboration nearly brings Shakira back to the summit on one purchase-focused list and almost gives Burna his first leader. It also reaches new peaks on several other rankings, debuts on a streaming roster and continues to rule around the world.
Shakira and Burna Boy Rise to No. 2
“Dai Dai” is, at present, the second-bestselling track in the United States. The collaboration surges from No. 9 to a new peak of No. 2 on the Digital Song Sales chart, which ranks the tunes that sell the most copies on digital download stores throughout America.
According to Luminate, “Dai Dai” sold nearly 7,200 copies during the latest tracking period. Only one week prior, the World Cup anthem moved 1,700 downloads, meaning its sales increased by more than 320% in the span of only a few days.
Shakira Nearly Scores a Third Sales Chart No. 1
“Dai Dai” becomes Shakira’s only hit to stall at No. 2 on the Digital Song Sales chart. The collaboration is one of her nine top 10 successes on the ranking.
Shakira has already conquered the roster twice. “Hips Don’t Lie,” her collaboration with Wyclef Jean, spent three weeks at No. 1 beginning in June 2006. The following year, “Beautiful Liar,” her team-up with Beyoncé, also controlled the tally.
Burna Boy Reaches a New Career High
Burna has scored only three bestsellers in America, and two of them have reached the top 10. “Dai Dai” brings the Nigerian musician to a new career peak on the Digital Song Sales chart.
“We Pray,” which was fronted by Coldplay and also featured Little Simz, Elyanna and Tini, previously ranked as his loftiest success. The collaboration debuted and peaked at No. 6.
“My Oasis,” Burna’s team-up with Sam Smith, spent one turn at No. 41 in 2020. At that time, the Digital Song Sales chart still featured 50 positions – twice as many as it includes these days.
BTS Blocks Shakira and Burna Boy From No. 1
Shakira and Burna Boy are prevented from reaching No. 1 on the Digital Song Sales chart by BTS. The K-pop boy band earns another leader with “Normal,” which recently became the second official single from its comeback album Arirang.
After its music video was uploaded to YouTube, “Normal” reenters the ranking at No. 1 in only its second week on the roster. While the BTS smash and “Dai Dai” sit side-by-side, the race between them is not especially close. According to Luminate, “Normal” sold 20,700 copies through platforms such as iTunes during the latest tracking frame. That figure is nearly three times the approximately 7,200 downloads that “Dai Dai” managed in the same timeframe
Shakira and Burna Boy Reach New Peaks on Other Charts
“Dai Dai” reaches new high points on several additional Billboard rankings this week. The collaboration rockets 25 spaces No. 17 on the Billboard Hot 100, the most important songs roster in the U.S.
The single also rises from No. 46 to No. 44 on the Radio Songs chart, establishing a new peak position as well. It climbs from No. 13 to a career-best No. 11 on the Rhythmic Airplay ranking, narrowly missing the top 10 – though it almost certainly will lift into that tier soon.
“Dai Dai” debuts at No. 15 on the Streaming Songs chart – a truly impressive starting point for a track that is not actually new. The anthem moves in the opposite direction on the Latin Airplay chart, where it falls to No. 3 after previously leading the tally.
Shakira and Burna Boy Rule the Worldwide Charts
“Dai Dai” continues to command both of Billboard’s worldwide songs rankings. The track holds at No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. this week. Both tallies use streaming and sales data collected from territories around the world. The Billboard Global 200 includes activity from the U.S., while the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. ranking removes all forms of consumption from America.
