GSIS H1 profit jumps 28 percent

MANILA, Philippines — The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) reported a stronger first-half performance with net income rising 27.8 percent year on year to P94.75 billion.

In a statement, the state-run pension fund attributed the growth to higher earnings as it expanded its asset base.

Gross income increased 15 percent to P195.38 billion in the six months through June from P169.9 billion a year earlier, according to GSIS.
