Three people have been injured, one critically, in a Waikato crash which has blocked a highway this afternoon.

Police were called to Ōhaupō Rd (SH3), near Great South Rd, following the single-vehicle crash around 12.35pm.

One person has received critical injuries and two others have received minor to moderate injuries.
