According to Ukrinform, Khmelnytskyi Mayor Oleksandr Symchyshyn reported on Facebook:

"Since yesterday evening, we have been dealing with the consequences of this emergency. So far, we have received 235 reports of damage, and more are still coming in. More than 100 buildings have already been inspected."

In addition to private homes, nearly 30 apartment buildings sustained damage, including 27 windows in common areas and 18 apartments.

Symchyshyn said that efforts are underway to repair roofs and secure damaged windows.

"More than 150 sheets of roofing slate, 600 meters of plastic sheeting, 500 meters of wooden battens, and 183 panes of glass have already been distributed," he said.

He reminded residents that the building materials distribution point is operating at 52 Petliura Street.

According to the mayor, State Emergency Service units continue to inspect the area around the training ground. All discovered ammunition and other hazardous items are being removed for safe disposal.

Bomb disposal teams are using modern robotic systems that allow explosive devices to be handled remotely, significantly reducing risks to personnel.

Symchyshyn also noted that there is no new information regarding the fate of the five missing servicemembers. Search operations and investigative actions are ongoing.

As Ukrinform previously reported, several explosions were heard in Khmelnytskyi on July 31, despite there being no air raid alert at the time.

Later, the Special Operations Forces confirmed that an emergency had occurred at the training ground of a military unit in the Khmelnytskyi region, resulting in an explosion followed by ammunition detonation.

The detonation ended at approximately 19:00 on Friday, July 31. Three Special Operations Forces servicemembers were injured, while five others were initially unaccounted for.

Ukraine's State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) later reported four injured servicemembers.
