Sirens sounded in the Red Sea coastal city of Aqaba in Jordan due to Iranian missiles.

"We intercepted four Iranian missiles, while two missiles fell in unpopulated areas," the Jordanian army said in a statement.

The Israeli army issued a statement denying participation in intercepting the missiles as the explosions were heard in the city of Eilat.

"We detected missiles being fired from Iran towards the Jordanian city of Aqaba but we did not issue an alert for Israelis," the statement added.
