Pampanga, Bulacan, QC bets shine ahead of Mr. World Philippines 2026 finals

The road to the Mr. World Philippines title heats up, with several frontrunners emerging after a series of preliminary competitions. These are the delegates who made it to the final round of a few prefinal contests.

Pampanga’s Christan Manalo made it to the Top 5 of the Head-to-Head, Beauty with a Purpose, Talent, Dances of the Philippines, and Top Model competitions.

Jesus Guinto from Bulacan, a pageant veteran, advanced to the finals of the Head-to-Head, Beauty with a Purpose, Talent, and Dances of the Philippines pre-final events.

A pageant rookie, event host Sean Kyle Ortega from Quezon City, joined the two seasoned contenders among the frontrunners, and was in the shortlist for Head-to-Head, Beauty with a Purpose, Dances of the Philippines, and Top Model.

Experienced model and pageant contender Aaron Davis is also in contention, after bagging three special awards at the Gala Night held at Hilton Manila in Pasay City on July 31.

He received the Mr. Hotel 101 and Mr. Urban Smiles awards, shared the Mr. Nova Aesthetics title with Guinto, and was one of the Top 5 in the swimsuit segment. He also advanced to the finals of the Head-to-Head Challenge.

Ortega and Manalo also picked up more awards during the event. The Quezon City bet was in the Top 5 of the Top Model and Swimsuit segments, while the Pampanga lad was in the Top Model shortlist.

Guinto shared the Mr. Monarch Montage award with Ortega, and the Mr. Nova Aesthetics title with Davis, while Ortega shared the Mr. K-Magic Beauty award with Wendell Pamfilo from Nueva Ecija.

With Ortega and Pamfilo in the Top 5 of both the Top Model and Best in Swimsuit during the Gala Night were Logan Culp from the Filipino community of Canada, and Alexei Cruz from Manila.

The 2026 Mr. World Philippines Finals Night will be held at the Newport Performing Arts Theater of Newport World Resorts in Pasay City on Aug. 2, at 7 P.M. Eight national titles will be awarded at the competition. /edv
