Canadian judokas battle for medals on final day of Commonwealth Games

Canadian judokas have three more chances at medals on the final day of competition at the Commonwealth Games on Sunday in Glasgow.

Kyle Reyes will battle for a gold medal in the final of the men's -100 kg semifinal after defeating Georgios Kroussaniotakis of Cyprus in semifinal by Ippon. Reyes will face England's Max Gregoy in the final at 10:30 a.m. ET.

Coralie Godbout will face India's Ishroop Narang in the women's -78kg bronze-medal match at 10 a.m. ET. Godbout defeated England's Shelley Ludford in the quarterfinals before falling to Australia's Maria Swan in the semis.

John Messe A Bessong will go for a bronze medal in the men's +100kg category after a semifinal loss to Australia's Kayhan Ozcicek-Takagi. The Canadian began the day with a round of 16 victory over Pakistan's Shah Hussain Shah before defeating Gerard Takayawa of Fiji in the quarterfinals.

• The men's pairs bowl team of Ryan Bester and John Bezear lost the bronze-medal match to Malaysia.
• In track cycling, Gabriel Seguin did not qualify for the final of the men's 40km points race. Sarah Orban was eliminated in the repechage round of the women's keirin. In the men's 1,000m time trial final, James Hedgcock finished ninth in 1:01.279 while Cole Dempster (1:02.169) was 12th. The women's elimination race final is at 10 a.m. ET where Canadians Alexandra Volstad, Maggie Coles-Lyster will compete.
